Juggling, dancing, practicing somersaults – for the students at the State School of Acrobatic Arts, these are not leisure activities, but hard work. And just as important as math, German and English. For more than five decades, young people have been trained in Berlin to become state-certified artists. Along the way, they also complete their high school diploma. The path is hard and the entrance exam is not the only hurdle the students have to overcome.
