Violinist François Gautier (Dany Boon) is not only outstanding in his field, but also a penny pincher the likes of which the world has never seen. Saving money brings him bliss - spending money, on the other hand, makes him sweat and causes panic attacks. He spends endless energy trying to cover up this quirk and lead a halfway normal social life. But when one day, without warning, 16-year-old Laura (Noémie Schmidt) shows up at his door and reveals that she is his daughter, the penny-pincher is confronted with an avalanche of costs and problems. Especially when it turns out that Laura has an idea in mind that could cost him dearly. In addition, the sudden and completely unexpected affection of a new colleague, the cellist Valérie (Laurence Arné), upsets not only François' emotional world but also his savings concept. As if feelings cost nothing ... In this comedy, which surprises with more than one touching twist, Dany Boon plays the sympathetic but neurotic penny-pincher whose need to save money gets him into the most impossible situations - another showcase role for France's top comedian ("Welcome to the Sch'tis", "The Superhypochondriac").
