A man stands in the travel agency and says he wants to experience something special. He initially proposes the Berlin offer. "You are not afraid, are you?" But when he looks at the new catalog, he books a trip to Berlin. And he is enthusiastic about the city, about the "pulsating life in the rhythm of the Berlin tempo". In the convertible, he is chauffeured to sights, castles and museums. "In Berlin, the guest experiences a true reflection of the city's uninterrupted joie de vivre despite all its hardships under the motto: Berlin remains Berlin" This short film was filmed in 1952, when West Berlin was still an island in enemy territory and the blockade was only three years ago. The twelve-minute strip was commissioned by the Senate to encourage German citizens from the West to travel to Berlin at that time. He is considered the first official Berlin commercial.
