Supergirl: An Interview with Iris Berben

In a 30-minute workshop talk, the actress Iris Berben recalls her early starring role in the German movie "Supergirl – Das Mädchen von den Sternen" (1971) by director Rudolf Thome. "When I saw the movie again, it sent me on a wonderful journey," recalls the actress. It was a journey back to her beginnings. "The fact that the young German film also started at this time is a nice coincidence." For Iris Berben, rewatching "Supergirl" became a melancholic retrospective, in which she observed herself as a young actress in the role of mysterious alien Francesca Farnese. And also seeing all her colleagues again. Especially Marquard Bohm (1941-2006), this "wonderful madman", with whom she already played in her first movie "Detektive" (1969), also staged by Rudolf Thome.
