The Power of Soul

A documentary about soul legend James Brown, who was one of the greatest representatives of the music industry from the 1960s onwards. But alongside his professional successes, Brown also had to struggle with personal defeats and catastrophes. The filmmakers followed the greats of funk and soul for more than ten years. Stars such as Bobby Byrd and Joss Stone, as well as Gwen and George McCrae, rap legend Kurtis Blow and the hip-hop group The Pharcyde, among others, pay tribute to the “Godfather of Soul”.
