The Departure

The 19-year-old hairdresser's apprentice Marc dreams of cars and car races. Another race is taking place in two days' time, and Marc has unceremoniously signed up to start in his boss's borrowed Porsche. But his boss intends to take the car away for the weekend; now Marc has to find another car. He could rent a car from a car rental agency, but to do so he would have to deposit 15,000 francs; Marc is desperate. Only with difficulty does his new girlfriend Michele stop him from stealing spare parts at the car show. Can Marc still realise his big dream?
